Artists:
William Street, saxophonist and conductor, has performed and lectured in Belgium, Canada,Federation of Russia, France, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine and the USA. He tours with pianists Roger Admiral, I-An Chen and Viktoria Reishwich-Dapp and the Quatuor International de Saxophones emphasizing the importance of both solo and
chamber music making. 2016-18 chamber music performances were performed in Alberta (Edmonton, Red Deer, Camrose, Calgary, Lethbridge), as well as in the US mid-west in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Champaign, Illinois,Taiwan, Thailand and China. Other recent solo performances and lectures took place in San Jose, California as in well as in Bordeaux and
Strasbourg, France. For four years, from 2009-2013, Bill served as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta and from 2013-2015 he was Associate Dean of Humanities and the Arts at San Jose State University. In 2015, he was appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Music at the University of Alberta.
Shyen Lee is the saxophonist from Taiwan. He currently serves as the professor of saxophone in Mahidol University, Thailand. Lee was appointed to be the Organizer and Artistic Director of the International Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition and World
Saxophone Congress XV. In 2016, Shyen Lee founded the Asian Saxophone Congress and organized the first conference in Chia-yi, Taiwan.
Shyen Lee appeared as solo recitalist in various concert halls including Lincoln Center, Paine Hall in Harvard University as well in Montreal, Minneapolis, Paris, Bordeaux, Fermo (Italy),Vienna, Ljubljana, Kiev, Odessa (Ukraine), Columbia (SC, USA), Bangkok, Singapore, St.
Andrew (UK), Strasbourg, Mallorca (Spain), Poland, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and other cities all over China and Taiwan. He performed concerto with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. After being a jury member in Odessa Golden Saxophone International Competition, he performed as
concerto soloist in Philharmonic Society Theatre in the gala concert.
Shyen Lee studied with Kenneth Radnofsky in New England Conservatory (BM, 96) and Dr. John Sampen in Bowling Green University (MM, 98).
李賢,台灣第一位取得完整專業訓練文憑的薩克斯風演奏家,目前致力於開
發傳統與現代曲目,及各種形態的演出。受他的影響,台灣與泰國培養了演奏正統
薩克斯風曲目的風氣及奠定系統化教學法的基礎。
經過多年在台灣多所大學音樂系任教後,舉家移居泰國。他目前擔任泰國瑪
希隆大學音樂學院 (College of Music, Mahidol University) 薩克斯風專任教授,並
且被任命為隆德氏國際薩克斯風大賽(Jean-Marie Londeix International
Saxophone Competition)及第十五屆世界薩克斯風大會(World Saxophone
Congress XV) 的藝術總監。其主辦的國際活動均受與會人士一致的好評,在世界
薩克斯風大會裡被推舉為國際薩克斯風委員 (International Saxophone
Committee)。為了在亞洲推廣薩克斯風演奏的藝術表現,在台灣嘉義大學舉辦第
一屆亞洲薩克斯風大會,擔任藝術總監。
經常受邀以獨奏家身分活躍於於世界各地,李賢演出足跡包括紐約林肯中心
,波士頓哈佛大學。曾多次參與國際性的研討會發表新作品及演出;包括在加拿大
的蒙特婁、美國明尼阿波利斯、及斯洛維尼雅首都魯比雅那。另外受邀前往巴黎、
維也納、義大利、基輔、奧德薩、西班牙、波蘭、曼谷,北京,上海,新加坡,台
北及其他遍及台灣及中國各大城市講學,開設大師班及獨奏演出。於2006-07的樂
季裡,他兩度與曼谷愛樂交響樂團(Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra)演出協奏曲
。2015年前往烏克蘭奧德薩擔任金薩克斯國際大賽評審,並與奧德薩室內管絃樂
團協奏演出。這些演出及教學的活動均獲得極大的迴響及帶來國際的認可。
師事於美國新英格蘭音樂學院Kenneth Radnofsky教授,1996年獲學士學位
,及峨亥俄州立大學John Sampen博士1998年獲得音樂演奏碩士學位。
Pianist I-An CHEN has won numerous awards including the First Prize of National Music Competition in her native country Taiwan and the Ann arbor Young Artist Competition. She has given diverse performances as a soloist and chamber musician, and has been seen on stage at various venues in Taiwan, China, Southeastern Asia and the United States. Miss Chen holds a Master of Piano Performance degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, under the instruction of Dr. Logan Skelton; and another Master degree of Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music (Now Collaborative Piano)in UM, where she studied with world renowned collaborative pianist Martin Katz. She has served as a collaborative pianist in Taiwan, Beijing
Saxophone Summer Festival ,Thailand International Soloist Saxophone Summer Camp, Elite Project, XV World Saxophone Congress, Singapore Saxophone Symposium, Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy, Taiwan International Saxophone Symposium,and International Jean-
Marie Londeix Saxophone Competition.Miss Chen enjoys a distinguished career as a performer and educator. She is currently on the
artist faculty as Assistant Professor of the Music Department of Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan.
鋼琴 陳怡安 I-An Amber CHEN, Pianist
美國密西根安那堡大學音樂研究所鋼琴演奏(Piano Performance)、鋼琴合作藝術
(Collaborative Piano)雙碩士。師承Dr. Logan Skelton, 以及合作藝術家Martin Katz,卓甫見、林淑真等教授。曾獲安那堡青年藝術家鋼琴比賽(Young Artist Competition),台灣師範大學鋼琴協奏曲比賽,全國學生音樂比賽等第一名。演出邀約頻繁,經常巡演於亞洲與美洲等地,活躍於國際樂壇。擔任台灣薩克斯風國際暑期音樂營、中國北京國際薩克斯風演奏家夏令營、泰國國際薩克斯風獨奏家夏令營 (Thailand International Soloist Saxophone Summer Camp)、菁英計劃
(Elite Project) ,亞太薩克斯風音樂營(Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy),台灣薩克斯風國際論壇,第十五屆世界薩克斯風年會(World Saxophone Congress XV),新加坡薩克斯風國際研討會(Singapore Saxophone Symposium ),隆得氏國際薩克斯風大賽 (International Jean-Marie Londeix Saxophone Competition) 等協演鋼琴家及講座。2016製作出版臺灣薩克斯風群星會演出專輯,目前積極活躍於各項音樂演出及擔任台北輔仁大學音樂系所助理教授。
